Parent Testimonials from Dec Holiday Programme

Parent of Linnette (13) & Graeme (17) : Ms. Linda Phoon

Linnette is utterly concerned about not being late for class….otherwise her “money pot” will be deducted, haha but one major change is that she has really became more sociable and talkative….she is able to make new friends in her new secondary school quite easily….she claimed that she has so called “friended” half her class just after one week….not too bad for a girl whom was rather shy previously.

As for Graeme…..he seems to pay more attention to business news….like watching CNN…and reading the stocks markets from the newspaper etc and also sharing with us such as buying car is a liability and we should not be spending money on it. I will circulate the money tree program to some of my friends.

Thanks MoneyTree.

Parent of Kang Yi Xi ,11 years old : Ms. Pua Chuey Luan

Yi Xi used to simply spend whenever she feels like buying something. In fact she often said “this is cheap” and she would never say “this is a waste of money”.

Yi Xi has better understanding of money concepts and has since become more conscientious of her spending. In fact, she calls herself a “miser” now. Often, she asks herself if the item is one of real necessity or simply a good-to-have. For recent trip to China, she bought very little stuff for herself and only utilized a very small percentage of the budget given to her. She even questioned me when I did my new year shopping recently.

Thank you MoneyTree.
