Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) 2010 - Schools at MoneyTree AsiaPac

This year, the Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) will be held from 15 - 21 Nov). The Week is a celebration of innovation, entrepreneurship and creativity. It brings together millions of young people across the globe through online and local activities and encourage them to think innovatively and unleash their ideas, in hopes of inspiring a new generation of young entrepreneurs. Co-hosted in Singapore by the Action Community for Entrepreneurship (ACE) and NUS Enterprise, the Week will line up activities and events to engage the whole nation in entrepreneurial aspirations.

Besides the activities during the Week, we are also having activities leading up to it The activities are mention below.

Please do not hesitate to contact me shall you require more information on the programme. We strongly encourage you and your students to participate in these activities.

1) Speakers Circuit Programme
The Speakers Circuit Programme comprises of talks and provides platforms for students to learn from entrepreneurs. The programme will create interest towards entrepreneurship and inspire students to be the next generation of entrepreneurs. This programme is targeted to start from 13 September to 1st week of November 2010.

Would appreciate if you could indicate your interest in this programme and preferences by 3 September 2010. Kindly provide us with the following details:-

a) Your preferred industry
b) Specific entrepreneur(s) (If any)
c) Date & Time of this talk
d) Type of Target Audience (Age, year..etc)

2) Global Enterprise Experience (GLEE)
GLEE is a global competition where real-life business case studies are posted and participants to submit innovative and practical solutions to overcome them. We encourage your students to put on their thinking hats and be creative in solving these business challenges. Participants stand a chance to win cash prizes and a one-week internship opportunity with the Enterprises!

The challenge starts from 1Sep 2010.

3) Showcasing at GEW Opening Ceremony, 15 Nov 2010
The GEW Opening Ceremony will be on 15 Nov and there will be 10 booths allocated for YES! Schools to showcase their entrepreneurship efforts. About 500 guests will be attending the opening ceremony consisting of students, teachers, entrepreneurs, government agencies and medias. There will also be members of the public visiting the booths.

As there will be more than 40 schools to shortlist, we will be doing the selection in Sep. Do alert us once you have any products/services ready, we will arrange to view it at your school.
