Hi,
I enjoyed reading your post.
I am amazed there are parents that do not demand financial contributions from their working children. What are we teaching our kids?
My oldest son is 14 and therefore still too young to get paid for work. However, he knows if he wants to go out on a Saturday night and enjoys carrying around a cell phone, he needs to earn the money by doing all his chores, etc. Even though he’s too young to get paid for work, he still needs to understand responsibility.

Once he is old enough for a paid job, he understands he will need to pay for his cell phone and other expenses.
Is there any other way????
